Feeds provide a great and effective way to keep yourself informed about frequently updated subjects of your interest.
RSS feeds are widely used by blogs, news agencies to syndicate their contents. There are plenty of feeds on very specific topics, too. Add to them: XML feeds by ToPoIndex.
You have two options for enabling yourself to use our XML feeds: you can get some RSS capable software or you can use RSS services provided online.
You can obtain a software called news reader or aggregator. There are many of them out there, both free and commercial (NewsGator, Awasu, FeedDemon, RSSReader etc.). Some of them come as extensions, plugins to already installed software (NewsGator for Outlook, Sage for Firefox). RSS capabilities come included with Thunderbird.
The other option is to use online news aggregators. They often come as RSS reading functions of blog softwares. These include Bloglines, Everyfeed, Newsgator Online, Waggr and an army of others.
